Pyrocast AR Plus Castable Refractory
Pyrocast AR Plus is our premium fused silica castable refractory, inert to molten aluminium and its alloys. Its optimized packing density results in a high strength & erosion resistant material. Its proprietary non-wetting agent offers outstanding resistance to molten aluminium at elevated temperatures. Parts cast from Pyrocast AR Plus are heat-treated to ensure that free and combined water are removed. Because Pyrocast AR Plus is lighter than molten aluminium, it floats, minimizing the potential for refractory inclusions.
